In order to introduce you to irishauthors.com it might be helpful to tell you a little bit about its two founder members.


Mick Rooney

Mick Rooney was born in London in 1948, and although he has a typical London accent he has traced his family history back to Co. Cavan via Scotland in the late 1700's and early 1800's, he was born in Cricklewood London NW2. Mick has been twice married an has an extended family consisting of five natural children and two stepchildren. Mick is married to Lucy who was born and reared in Dublin, and the two of them have lived in Hertfordshire for more than twenty five years.

Mick is totally responsible for the irishauthors web site he and has enthusiasticaly constructed the website and hopes that it will be used regularly. Mick has taught himself computer skills and he thrives on a new challenge. He is totally dedicated to making irishauthors.com work.


Neville Thompson

About

Neville Thompson is an out and out Dubliner, he lived in the heart of the city only a walk from Temple Bar across the 'Ha'penny Bridge'. He now resides outside the City. Neville was born in 1960 in Ballyfermot.  

The purpose of this organisation is to promote the brilliance of Irish Literature, we have and will continue to do that whilst we can.Neville is a published author with four books to his credit. Neville writes about Dublin with a passion, and has that same passion for this website, Neville and Micks dream is for irish-authors to become a focal point for all Irish Authors interested in Irish Literature. From anywhere in the world were there is a computer, they want isolated Irish people to be able to get the authors works whether they be alive dead, published or unpublished. They want these people to feel that there is always a place were they can go. They passionately want the world to know of the delight there is in Irish Writing, in all of its forms, and want to be able to promote Irish Writing all over the world, to all people.

The purpose of this organisation is to promote the brilliance of Irish Literature, we have and will continue to do that whilst we can.
